Emraan Hashmi wants to do different films

Doing bold films might have fetched him instant recognition and earned him the tag of serial kisser of Bollywood, but when Emraan Hashmi got a chance to do a Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji’, he readily agreed as he want to do different genre of films.

“I never saw myself doing a rom-com so it was a pleasant surprise to me when Madhur (Bhandarkar) ask me to be part of his film. As an actor, I try to break away from stereotypes and when I decided to get out of my comfort zone then who better than Madhur to make a romcom with a touch of realism? Yes, I do different films because I want to do them and I know a new set of people will come in to watch it,” stated Emraan.

It has been a great journey for Emraan, especially after his role in ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbai’ was appreciated by the audience.

And the actor is thankful that post the success of the OUATIM, he’s been getting loads of film offers even from outside his family.

Talking about this, Emraan stated, “I am getting a lot of offers after Once Upon... that are quite different and exciting. The film has opened doors for me to try new and different things outside the `Bhatt camp.”

Emraan plays a gym master in ‘Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji’
His upcoming film Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji’ is releasing next week. Emraan opened up about his role, stating that he plays Abhay, a gym instructor in the film.

“I am cast opposite Shruti Hassan. I play the role of Abhay, a gym instructor. His ideology about love, life and money is different, he does not believe in love and does not want to confine himself to a relationship. But then he finds a woman at the gym,” added Emraan.
