Short Hindi film to be made on Tagore

Kolkata, Jan 17: Paying tribute to universal poet Ravindranath Tagore on his 150th birth anniversary filmmaker Buddhadeb Dasgupta will produce a short film in Hindi.

Dasgupta, the director said, "I have finished the script for 'Sey' and veteran Bengali actor Barun Chanda will play the protagonist, an old man." The film 'Sey' is going to be Dasgupta's third Hindi film. His earlier two Hindi films are 'Andhi Gali' and 'Bagh Bahadur.' The film, 'Sey' had been Dasgupta's wish to make and now he is able to fulfil it.


"Now that I am relatively free, I have decided to take it up without delay, this year being the sesquicentennial year of Tagore."
