With the help of look-alikes, Ramu is out to expose how stars sabotage each other's careers
It seems that Ramu has already read our lead story for the day. While SRK's actions on Sunday looked like an intended move to take the crowd's attention away from Tees Maar Khan's publicity campaign, Ram Gopal Varma is looking to expose the dirt on B-Town in his own quirky way.
The veteran director has signed on Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan for his next film the catch is that they aren't the real thing.
After taking digs at Bollywood in Company and Satya, Ramu is roping in look-alikes for a spoof on tinsel town. The film will be a tell-all on 'who did what to whom', and given the 'life-like' models, he is out to upset a lot of people.
Our source said, "The film will be a full-on drama on Bollywood. Ramu will be directing the film himself and it will take on top stars like Salman, Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan with the help of their duplicates, and also some prominent directors like Subhash Ghai, Ramesh Sippy and Karan Johar.
Ramu will also spoof himself. Some of the things that he will be showing are how stars sit on the edit and chop others' roles, how heroines' mothers cause trouble on sets and how newcomers have to invest money to become stars."
So confident is Ramu with this project that he is already looking to take the film down south. The source further added, "Ramu will start shooting for the Telugu version which has duplicate characters of Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna apart from top directors like Puri Jagannath." The film has been titled Story, Screenplay & Direction by Apal Raju in Telugu.
We have also been told that Tusshar Kapoor has been approached for the role of an aspiring director from small town in the film. However, when contacted, Ram Gopal Varma denied the news and also the fact that he is working on a version of the film in Telugu.
