Bollywood beauties sizzle at Lakme Fashion Week

Bollywood seemed to be enjoying every minute of the ongoing bustling Lakme Fashion Week 2011. Even the nail biting World Cup cricket fever didn’t stop Bollywood celebs making a splash at the event.

Bollywood beauties who had a good time at the event were Kareena Kapoor , Jacqueline Fernandez , Sameera Reddy, Sophie Choudry, Mandira Bedi. Juhi Chawla, Minissha Lamba and Hard Kaur.

Incidentally, some of B-town celebs who chose to let the world know about the splendid shows they had attended at the fashion week by tweeting about their favorite designers were Juhi Chawla, Minissha Lamba and Hard Kaur.

After having watched their favorite designer’s show at the fashion week, Juhi and Minissha, who tweeted about it, were seen getting into raptures over the eye-catching collections that they had noticed on the show.

Tweeting about the show, Juhi posted, “Attended anita dongre s show at LFW ... Very very pretty ... Each garment each outfit was lovely ..the whole look was waiflike ..angelic.”

While Minissha who attended Rajat Tangri's show tweeted, “Sunday begins with fashion week. Attending my dear friend Rajat Tangri's show today wearing a simple yet stunning piece of his creation.”

Kareena was present at Manish Malhotra’s show
Rani and Vidya didn’t make an appearance for their darling friend Sabyasachi Mukherje’s show at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2011. However, in spite of her hectic schedule, Kareena didn’t want to miss out her close pal Manish Malhotra’s show on Day 2.

Dressed in a white anarkali kurti, Kareena occupied the front row seat. Also seen in the show were Amrita Arora, Sophie Choudry, a front row staple, Sushma Reddy and VJ Sarah Jane Dia.

Kareena came to watch the evening wear collection of the designer. This season Manish showcased an interesting mix of embroidery chikankari, silver zari work, Kashmiri embroidery and Rajasthani gotta work. Models were seen wearing an interesting mix of Lehengas and kalidar kurtas.

For men, Manish had showcased traditional attire to cool, stylish t-shirts and denims.
