Most of film-maker Anurag Kashyap’s Bollywood colleagues will not be attending his wedding with actress Kalki Koelchin as it will be small affair happening in Ooty. It will be followed by a small function at Kalki’s hometown in Pondicherry. The two will tie the knot tomorrow at the latter’s home in Ooty.
Sources say that the couple are planning a bash once they return to Mumbai but the date has not been finalised yet.
“There are no big names in his marriage list because none of his colleagues have the time to fly down to Ooty for the ceremony. From there, the couple will fly down to Pondicherry and will be visiting the Aurobindo Ashram there,” says a source adding that it is unlikely that the two will be going for a honeymoon because of back-to-back commitments lined up .
Without getting into details, Kalki said that she is looking forward to the marriage.
“We got engaged in January this year. When you marry a star, it’s really tough to find dates for marriage,” says Kalki jokingly. Though Kashyap does not delve too much into rituals, the actress’ family has planned an elaborate marriage ritual though in a very small way.
This is Kashyap's second marriage. He was earlier married to his college sweetheart Aarti and has a daughter, Aaliya, with her.
According to sources, Kashyap fell in love with Kalki during the making of Dev D and moved in with her soon after.
“Nobody from Kashyap’s earlier family will be attending the wedding but we don’t know about his daughter. Anurag’s brother Abhinav will be there all through,” the source concludes.
