KJo turns 39, plans to have a quite b’day

Today is a certainly a momentous day for Bollywood’s most sought after filmmaker Karan Johar, as the successful movie maker has turned 39 today.

Karan had exploded into stardom with his first directional venture ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ at the age of 26, and from then on his journey in the industry has been fruitful and thriving.

Interestingly, when the energetic filmmaker was asked whether he has rolled out any plans for his birthday, Karan stated that he hasn’t planned anything for his birthday.

“Am I expecting a surprise on my birthday? Umm… not at all! I don’t like surprises. I would rather not have a birthday party and enjoy a match,” said Karan.

But buzz has it that Karan’s close buddy Shahrukh Khan has planned to make a memorable birthday for the filmmaker, as the actor is planning to surprise his friend with a cake cutting ceremony after his team Kolkata Knight Riders’ match.

Karan is depressed of getting close to 40
Karan is not happy about turning 39 since he is closer to 40 and has not planned to celebrate in a big way, but has decided to spend his special day watching the Kolkata Knight Riders match with Shahrukh and his wife Gauri.

Depressed and shattered about turning close to 40, Karan jokingly stated that people at 40 fail in mental and physical ability due to the age factor and are also deluded.

However, he has made up his mind that he will age gracefully, by not coloring his hair and wearing sober clothes.

“For all those people who say life begins at 40 I say 'dude people at 40 become senile, deluded and out of sorts!' My new mantra now is to age gracefully and stop colouring my hair black as I don't know if it is worth it anymore. I am going to wear sober shirts, sober shoes and will have a sober demeanour from now,” said Karan.

Ram Gopal wished Karan
Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who enjoys taking potshots at Karan Johar, managed to wish Johar on his birthday via the micro-blogging site Twitter.

“Hey karan wishing that even ur Ghums will turn into ur Khushis..Have a Hundred Happy Birthdays!!” posted RGV.

Meanwhile, RGV didn’t leave without casually targeting Karan, as he further tweeted, “You should be happy in life but you should never be satisfied with what yoy are happy about...sharuk khan.”
