Bollywood's biggest Khans don't see eye to eye on any issue anymore. And when asked questions about each other, they either politely brush them off, or give guarded answers.
Ask Salman about superhero films, and he's quick to wish SRK (without naming him) "the very best", just as Shah Rukh goes on record to say his kids love the "Character Dheela" song from Salman's next. But there's one issue – or rather one man – about whom both the Khans have same-to-same views. Karim Morani, who's currently in Tihar Jail for his alleged involvement in the 2G scam. Here's what the two Khans, one in Mumbai for launching the promo of "Ra.One", while the other, in Delhi, for promoting " Ready", said:
Personal equations don't change
On a personal level, equations don't change. I have personal relations with several people in the industry. Cineyug (Morani's company) has been part of the industry much before I came in. The Morani family is a very good family and industry people share a good relationship with Karim. The matter is sub-judice and the law will take its own course. We are all law-abiding people. These people are in trouble today but things will be sorted out.
(When asked whether Cineyug did a transaction with Kalaignar TV as well as Red Chillies – SRK's production house – through the same account) I don't think any body said that. It's not true. The Enforcement Directorate knows best and will take care of it. But don't involve me in it.
(On Morani's role as associate producer of "Ra.One") The reason Karim came into the picture as associate producer of my film is because Sanjiv Chawla (Juhi Chawla's brother) fell ill. Somebody had to fill in, and so, I asked a friend to do it. And he's done a great job of it.
Karim Morani's a great guy
Karim's a great guy. I just didn't know that his beard was so grey. But jokes apart, what I know is that he does have a heart condition. I know because I have carried his bags many times all across the world when going on tours with him. His family is great too, and like I've said before, till the time he's not proven guilty, he's not guilty.
