Alam Ara Movie Review

The Movie Alam Ara is based on a king who has two wives competing with each other to give birth to the kingdoms heir. The story mixed with action and romance is also known for its evergreen songs. The song De De Khuda Ke Naam Parâ serves as a milestone for indian songs. The picture quality was just on start and lacked technical issues, but it was right as it was the start. The song, De de khuda ke naam par, was performed on screen by actor Wazir Mohammed Khan . It was before the days of lip-syncing to playback tracks. The film had total of seven songs, scored by Ferozshah M. Mistru and B. Irani.


The prints of this film were destroyed in a fire in 2003 at the National Film Archives, Pune. The entire country was searched for the prints but it was not found. The film Alam Ara starred master Vithal, Zubeida, LV Prasad and Prithviraj Kapoor. For audio, microphones were used which were hidden from camera, the film had a duration of two hours and four minutes
