Rohan Sippy Comes up Against Roadblock

Director Rohan Sippy seems to be coming up against one obstacle after another in his bid to cast an actor to play the parallel lead in his film, which is said to be based on drug busting in Goa. He has already fixed one of the leads, which will be played by his childhood friend Abhishek Bachchan.

But the problem that the director is having is that he is not being able to find an actor to play the parallel male lead. Initially, Rohan had settled on Farhan Akhtar but the latter turned down the offer, probably because he has a lot on his plate as well. Farhan is working in sister Zoya's second movie along with Hrithik Roshan and Abhay Deol. After he finishes with that film, he has to start work on 'Don 2'. In the meanwhile, of course, there is his own film, 'Karthik Calling Karthik', where he is cast opposite Deepika Padukone. Anyway, with Farhan turning down the offer, Rohan is believed to have turned to Emraan Hashmi, but the latter too is believed to have turned down the role. He has genuine date problems as there is a clash with his film, 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai', which is being directed by Milan Luthria. Also, the dates of the shoot which will take place in Goa are apparently clashing with the delivery date of Emraan's wife, who is expecting their first child. Now it seems that Rohan is all set to approach Arjun Rampal for the role.
