Puli to be re-released

In the backdrop of unanimous negative reviews from the audience over Power Star Pawan Kalyan's latest film Puli (earlier titled Komaram Puli), directed by S.J. Suryah, producer Singanamala Ramesh Babu of Kanakaratna Movies has decided to edit and re-release the movie for damage management. The editing work commenced yesterday. According to sources, the new version will have no introduction fight. The length of Puli team's investigation scenes and the flames scenes at the climax fight have been reduced. Pawan Kalyan's comedy track and romantic scene with heroine Nikesha Patel have also been cut. Meanwhile, Puli suffered from a severe drop in the box office collections, as more than 70% of the theatres in the state screening the film, reportedly remain vacant. This is the first time a big hero's film is subjected to such trampling humiliation at the box office!
